we will be hosting a tasting and product showcase

with Full Olive founder Adam Stern. The event will showcase a wide variety of organic olive oils from different regions, each offering unique flavors and aromas. Visitors can sample oils ranging from bold and peppery to smooth and fruity, while learning about traditional production methods. The tasting experience will highlight the richness and diversity of organic olive oil, celebrating its role in healthy, natural cuisine.

Join celebrated Tacoma Chef Jan Parker on Wednesday, October 22nd from 5-7PM for a lively and interactive evening exploring the flavors of the Phillipines through its most iconic dish: Adobo. Participants in the class will learn how to prepare Chicken Adobo with rice, discover several adobo variations, and cook a vegan-friendly Mushroom and Daikon Adobo. The class will begin with a chef-led demonstration, followed by a hands-on experience in small groups. Everyone will taste, cook and take home the knoledge needed to recreate adobo in their own kitchens. .

We are so pleased to share that The Essential Pantry will be hosting a charcuterie class with Doreen Arguela of Adore Boards. Doreen is a Tacoma-based caterer, and she provides artistically crafted charcuterie boards for a wide variety of events, including ones that we’ve hosted. In this class participants will learn how to create a charcuterie wreath that serves as an aesthetically pleasing and delicious appetizer for all your friends and family gatherings this holiday season. The class will begin with a demonstration, followed by a hands on experience. Everyone will assemble their own holiday charcuterie wreath with season fruits, artisan cheeses, select sliced meats, wildflower raw honey and various preserves. Participation for this class will cost $65 per person, with a $25 deposit needed to reserve a place. Doreen’s class starts at 5PM, so be sure to come on time. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to eat, mingle and shop. Space is limited to 20 people, so if you are interested, reserve your spot now.
